Eligibility Criteria Education Qualification: Be from the North Eastern Region (NER). Have completed your Class XII or equivalent from a school in NER recognized by various education boards like CBSE, ICSE, or NIOS. Be enrolled in a general degree course or technical/professional courses, including medical and paramedical programs, at a recognized institution. These institutions can be: Universities/Institutions/Colleges under Section 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act. Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, eligible for UGC grants. Institutions funded by the Central/State Government. Institutions of National Importance. Institutions recognized by other statutory councils, both within and outside NER. Exclusions/Ineligible: Students pursuing courses through Open Universities. Students already receiving scholarships under other schemes for undergraduate programs. Students gaining admission through ‘management quota.’ Students pursuing courses not leading to a degree. Students whose parent’s income exceeds Rs. 4.5 lakhs per annum

How to Apply

1. Go to the official National Scholarship Portal website.
2. If you’re eligible for the Ishan Uday Scholarship, follow these steps:
   • Scroll down and find the “Important Link” section.
   • Click on the “Online Application Link.”
   • A new web page will open.
   • Register yourself (if it’s your first time) or log in (if you’re renewing your scholarship).
   • Fill in all your necessary information.
   • Note your Student Application ID for future reference and click “Continue.”
   • You’ll see a login form. Enter your User ID and Password (sent to your registered mobile number), complete the Captcha, and click the orange “Login” button.
   • You’ll reach a form where you need to provide your registration, academic, and basic details.
   • After filling in these details, click “Save and Continue.”
   • Next, you’ll need to provide contact information, scheme details, and upload required documents.
   • Click the green “Final Submit” button.
   • A page displaying all your filled details will appear. Click “Print” to keep a copy of your submitted application.
   • Finally, visit your institute or college and submit the printed application acknowledgement copy along with the necessary documents requested by your institution.
